As stated in our September Newsletter the committee of the Upper House of the Indian Parliament recently approved the Constitution Amendment Bill that will pave way for introduction for GST in India. If the same is approved the route will be clear for the Government to introduce the GST Bill. The Government of India has proposed the introduction of GST in India from April 1, 2016.
The introduction of GST in India will be delayed as the Constitution Amendment Bill was not passed by the upper house in the Parliamentary session which concluded recently.
