Tax Alert No 5/2015: Changes in the competent tax offices in Poland will be probably postponed.

On 3rd December 2015 the draft of the amendment to the Act on tax administration was submitted to the Polish parliament. The amendment concerns among others the date of changing the competences of tax authorities. We informed you in our last Newsletter about this issue. According to the new project this change will occur, not on 1st January 2016 as it was initially planned; but on 1st July 2016. The aim of the above is to give more time for the Polish tax authorities to prepare for the upcoming changes.

Legislation in connection with this project has not been enacted yet. However, bearing in mind that it was prepared by the deputies of the party which has majority in the Polish parliament, it expected that it will be soon passed and signed by the President.
