The Portuguese Government extended the deadline for submission of the 2019 annual return (which had already been extended to August 7) to September 15, 2020. The purpose of this extension is to give companies more time to comply with this obligation without any penalties.
For all of our clients, the draft of the respective 2019 annual VAT returns should be sent by mid-August 2020.
